Ryan Freed is the general manager of Indaco Charlotte, a concept from The Indigo Road hospitality group. His belief in the philosophy of building a strong team creates an atmosphere of internal hospitality and exceptional service.
As a college student, Freed began his career in the hospitality industry as a waiter and worked his way up into bartending and back of house positions. Eventually, he transitioned into management and even went on to open multiple new restaurants. Freed later expanded into hotel operations of food and beverage, overseeing all aspects of the restaurants, bars and banquet events.
Through his 15 years of industry experience, he developed strong organizational skills and an eye for what true hospitality means. Since gaining an understanding of the importance of hospitality among his own team, he greatly prioritizes his staff and enjoys crafting an exceptional experience for everyone in the restaurant, staff and guests alike.
Since 2004, Freed has called Charlotte home when he moved from Kansas City to finish his degree at CPCC. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his wife and son in Lake Wylie. Traveling and playing guitar, which he has played since the age of 12, are his passions outside of the kitchen.
When not in the kitchen, Cusher can typically be found reading, fishing and spending time at the beach.
